Things i enjoy Doing

It's not beneath me to stop and look through someone's "trash" if I see something that could be made into a "treasure" I grab it!  I am an avid "foodie" who loves to cook and bake!

Many people replace an old coffee table with new ones. Turn their trash into a great corner bench or even a pet bed!

Wine Bottles

Don't discard your empty wine bottles when they can become art! They make great light fixtures and lamps. You can simply just put a string of lights inside them for a decoration piece as a reminder of the fun it took to empty the bottle.

The landfills are full of unused exercise equipment! You can score one cheap or free. Many just need cleaned up and fresh batteries. Refurbish these to sell for a profit.

Old worn out chairs can easily be refurbished with some simple sanding, painting and resurfacing the seat.  You can restore them back to their original state or redo one to fit your decor.

About Me

As a homemaker, I started recycling old items into works of art. Much I have found "garbage picking" as I drive by and see something someone thought was trash. I see it as a treasure. I love to do projects!  Take something old or discarded and turn it into art.

Who is Auntie M and what qualifications do I have that makes me think I can help you, Well, I have over 40 years of experience cooking, cleaning and taking trash and bringing it back to life and/or giving it a new purpose. I will be sharing my knowledge that I have accumulated over the years on cleaning, cooking, restoring and turning trash into treasures without breaking the bank!

As a cook and baker, I have managed over the years to save many yummy recipes. I especially love those from family and friends and have even come up with a few of my own originals, as well as some popular restaurant favorites!

Since I am a person of many words...I love to blog! I have some interesting stories that come from my travels and especially from growing up in a small rural town in a great state (the one that looks like a mitten) and hopefully my life experiences will put a smile on your face or give you a good chuckle. I owe many thanks to my mom, dad, family and friends that taught me so many valuable life lessons that I now wish to share with you.
